Todd A. Uterstaedt, SPHR®, GPHR®, CPLP

Todd brings over sixteen years of executive-level coaching, consulting, and leadership experience to the clients of Baker & Daboll. He has been called upon to coach CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, COOs, leaders, and managers at many levels. His strengths include executive on-boarding, assisting emerging leaders with critical development issues, helping senior leaders with weaknesses that are derailing their success, and coaching international leaders. Industries that have benefited from his work include financial services, insurance, food service, health care, manufacturing, executive recruiting, consumer products, pharmaceutical, construction, and telecommunications.
Prior to co-founding Baker & Daboll, Todd was Vice President of Organizational Consulting Services with Right Management Consultants – a global career transition and organizational consulting firm. Todd was also the Washington, D.C. Operations Manager of an international consulting organization where he coached military officers transitioning to corporate America. As a decorated U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, he lived and worked in Germany, South Korea, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and has extensive knowledge of the Middle East. Todd is a former member of the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council of Greater Cincinnati as well as a former committee member of the Ohio ESGR, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Todd has also earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) designation and the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR®) designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute and the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP™) designation from the American Society for Training & Development. He is a Xavier University Certified Executive Coach and is certified to administer and interpret numerous assessments including The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DiSC, The Birkman, The Life Styles Inventory (LSI), The Chally, and the 360-degree assessments in the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) Assessment Suite. These 360-degree assessments include Benchmarks, 360 By Design, Executive Dimensions, and Prospector.

Vivian K. Kist, MSODA, MBA

Vivian brings more than 20 years of management, leadership, and coaching experience to the clients of Baker & Daboll. She has been sought after to coach all levels of management both internally within the organizations she served and externally as a business partner to achieve verified business results. Her work with clients has significantly minimized turnover, increased productivity, improved customer service, enhanced teamwork, and built the foundation for strong, professional working relationships. All of these outcomes translate into a future dominated by strong leaders who feel a sense of personal and professional accomplishment.
Vivian has worked in the legal, automotive, manufacturing, construction, education, and utilities business sectors. She has functional work experience in human resources, technology, procurement, strategic business planning, and customer service. Prior to becoming a partner at Baker & Daboll, she was the National Director of Human Resources at Thompson Hine, LLP, one of the largest business law firms in the U.S. and held the same strategically important role at Arter & Hadden. Successful management/operations roles at Centerior Energy, Ford Motor Company, and Fab Form taught her the importance of bringing a strengths-based, service and entrepreneurial approach to her responsibilities as a coach. Vivian holds a Master's of Organizational Development and Analysis degree from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a Master's of Business Administration degree from Xavier University, and the Xavier University Executive Coaching Certification. She is certified to interpret the Chally, The Birkman, and the 360-degree assessments in the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) Assessment Suite. Amy J. Katz, Ph.D.
Chief Learning Officer,
Senior Executive Coach
Amy Katz has a rich background and deep experience providing value to clients in business, government and academic settings. With a Ph.D. in social psychology and a master's degree in social work, Amy found a calling to further individual and team success in ways that assure business success. She has been both a manager and leader. She is a prolific published writer and speaker. She ranks among the top experts in her field.
Amy brings 25 years of training and development to her work at Baker & Daboll. She has worked in the healthcare, manufacturing, and research and development industries. She has done family business consulting and also has experience in the academic world - currently teaching as an adjunct faculty member in the psychology departments at both Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. This varied background is one of Amy's assets, and she draws from this strong combination of experience in her coaching.
At the Veteran's Health Administration (VHA), Amy worked in the National Center for Organization Development (NCOD). She was an executive coach for healthcare leaders and executive teams, was a facilitator for selected VHA administrative and clinical services, and was supervisor of a postdoctoral program. In this role she was also a liaison to both Xavier and UC. While working at the Association for Quality and Participation (AQP - now part of The American Society for Quality), Amy served as director of education and research for the 7,000-member national association which provided educational conferences and publications on topics related to employee involvement and high performance workplaces. Here she also served as director of AQP's School for Managing and Leading Change, an intensive year-long program founded by nationally known author and consultant Peter Block. In 2009, Amy was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Athena award, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom. The award honors individuals who achieve success in their careers, give back to their communities, and actively assist women in realizing their full leadership potential.
Amy is the author of numerous publications in the organization development field and has presented at several national professional conferences, including the American Society for Training and Development, the Academy of Management and the Association for Quality and Participation. She is certified to administer and interpret The Birkman assessment.

Kyle A. Steele, MA
Chief Project Officer,
Co-Founder
Kyle brings over 14 years of leadership management, recruiting, and coaching experience to the clients of Baker & Daboll. Kyle has worked for several Fortune 500 companies including Textron and Black & Decker where he focused on supply chain management, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
Kyle brings extensive international experience to his clients. He has traveled, studied, and worked in several of the former Soviet Republics, Europe, and India, along with acquiring significant import/export experience with China, India, Thailand, and Europe. Kyle served for a number of years as a decorated U.S. Army Intelligence Officer where he specialized in Middle Eastern affairs. He is also a published author and is certified to interpret the Chally assessment.
